How Was The Warren Lift Concept Developed?

MikeWay LLC is a small company that found its roots in Burlington Iowa. It originated with the concept of an Adjustable Height Toilet for Mike's father, Warren, hence the name; Warren Lift. With an adjustable height toilet, this would've provided Warren with the ability to stay in home longer and maintain his privacy.

MikeWay LLC is a small company that found its roots in Burlington Iowa. It originated with the concept of an Adjustable Height Toilet for Mike's father, Warren, hence the name; Warren Lift. With an adjustable height toilet, this would've provided Warren with the ability to stay in home longer and maintain his privacy. 


The Warren Lift prototype was first revealed in February of 2012 to business acquaintances, friends, and family. 


The first Warren Lifts were sold in February of 2013. In April of 2013 they were installed.

 The initial Warren Lift concept
originated with Warren Hoffman’s son
Mike. Warren never wished to move to a
nursing home and clearly stated this to
his family. Unfortunately, after a serious
injury made in-home care impossible,
Warren’s family was forced to consider
alternatives. At 6’3” tall, Warren
required two people to help him reach

Mike. Warren never wished to move to a
nursing home and clearly stated this to
his family. Unfortunately, after a serious
injury made in-home care impossible,
Warren’s family was forced to consider
alternatives. At 6’3” tall, Warren
required two people to help him reach
the bathroom and use a standard height toilet. 


 Mike knew that if Warren had a toilet with the capacity for adjustable height, he may have had more personal freedom and a better overall quality of life. Thus, the concept for an adjustable height toilet; The Warren Lift was born.
